​Our client, a leading medical institution, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Controlling to join their team as Deputy CFO. This pivotal role will oversee the Controlling team and collaborate closely with the finance department, which includes Controlling, Accounting, Coding, Patient Billing, Performance Management, and Business Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development: Direct and mentor the Controlling team, fostering their professional growth and development.

Strategic Business Partnering: Position Controlling as a key business partner by providing comprehensive analysis for both clinical and administrative areas.Develop actionable recommendations and communicate them effectively to key decision-makers.

  • Budget and Financial Planning: Manage the budget process, including the preparation and reporting of financial forecasts. Contribute to the organizations long-term financial planning and strategic development.

  • Cost Management and Compliance: Assume overall responsibility for cost accounting and ensure accurate data submission to regulatory authorities and insurers.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed business plans, financial analyses, and economic evaluations. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Reporting and Concept Development: Develop and present comprehensive reports and financial concepts to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Business Economics (HF/HF level) or a diploma in Accounting and Controlling.

  • Languages: German and English at a fluent level

  • Experience: Several years of experience in controlling, preferably within the healthcare sector. Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and developing a team

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in data analysis, cost accounting, and budgeting. Proficient in BI tools, ERP systems, Excel, and Word.

  • Personal Attributes: Strong communicator with the ability to build trust and present clear recommendations. Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
